The Flu Sensing Phone Is Almost As Good as A Cure
December 4th, 2008 | by ThryStan |
This week we saw surfacing a T-Mobile G1 program that shows its user how many people around him have a cold. This “Zicam Cold & Flu Companion” will mention how many people in a certain ZIP code area are infected with a certain virus and how they could affect the user of the handset.

The piece of software also mentions which symptoms are more common, to increase the realism of this analysis. Turns out that the maker of this program works with Surveillance Data Inc., which provides all medical data from pharmacies and other such sources. Last, but not least, you should know that the Zicam software can warn you about certain infected areas, so you’ll keep away from them.
In case you’re already looking for the program, it’s available right now on Android Marketplace, for download and soon there will be an iPhone-ready version ready for action.
