  • Polish developer Marcin-PRV managed to install the good old Windows 3.1 OS on Nokia N95 by using DOSBox, a tool that emulates a 486-class processor. Both Symbian and Windows 3.1 run side by side on the device, which is quite an impressive feat.

This “upgrade” doesn’t make the N95 more usable or something, specially since its display is rather small and controlling the mouse with the aid of the five way pointer will be a pain.

If the handset is powerful enough to run Windows 3.1 without hickups, I’m ready to bet that it can also run Windows 95 without major issues.
