Yahoo Messenger for iPhone Now Available
Downloadable here, Yahoo Messenger for iPhone is a standalone version of the famous IM app, available for free via the iPhone App Store. It’ll be installed in seconds via a 3G connection, but signing in and connecting might prove to be a problem.
An Information Week editor claims that after entering the username and password, he had to wait for more than 5 minutes, as the app tried to connect and log in. The next logins will be done more easily and rapidly. The UI of this app is as basic as it gets, using 3 tabs, for contacts, messages and settings.
You’ll be able to insert emoticons, URLs and images as you chat with your contacts and there’s also the option of customizing your contact view style and availability (available, unavailable, invisible). 4 star app coming your way!
