Boost Mobile has just announced the availability of the Motorola i296 iDEN handset, a candybar that resists dust, shock and vibration. The handset goes for $59.95 without contract and it comes with nationwide walkie-talkie capability, Bluetooth and GPS.

Multimedia and text messaging are also supported, as well as a speakerphone that’s included among the specs. Motorola i296 supports voice-activated dialling, downloadable games, it comes with a 600 entry phonebook, a calendar, calculator and voice-memo recorder.
