Motorola Backflip is AT&T’s First Android Phone, Ready for March 7 Launch
AT&T and Motorola have just announced that the Backflip model, complete with MOTOBLUR will be available online and in AT&T stores starting March 7. This is the first Android carrier sold by the exclusive iPhone carrier (for now) in the US.
Moto Backflip will retail for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. The device uses an Android Webkit full HTML browser, providing PC-like web browsing and its specs list also includes WiFi support, 3G connectivity, a 3.1 inch HVGA touchscreen (320 x 480 pixels), a navigation-oriented touch pad behind the screen and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash.
Google Talk, POP3/IMAP mail are also supports, as well as 24 fps video capture and on board you’ll also find an E-compass, aGPS, accelerometer, a microSD card slot, a 1400 mAh and 3.5mm audio jack.
