Orange UK Announces Motorola DEXT Android Phone

September 17th, 2009 | by ThryStan |

After getting the first details regarding Motorola’s CLIQ Android phone last week, its European version, DEXT has just been detailed by Orange UK. The carrier announced the handset yesterday, with an exclusivity deal and the MOTOBLUR feature on board, that you can check out in the video below:

MOTOBLUR is a software solution that synchs all the contacts, feeds, posts, photos, messages, mails and more, pushing them to the main screen of the phone. The sources used for syncing are Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Gmail and even LastFM, plus tons of other social networking or email services.

Motorola DEXT is a QWERTY slider, that comes with a touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and video capture, 3G support, GPS, support for Android Marketplace, a microSD card slot (32GB max) and WiFi. Orange UK will sell the phone in early October for free with £34.26 monthly contract, lasting 2 years.
