Nokia Cuts 450 Jobs and Migrates Games Services to Ovi
Nokia announced new job cuts, 450 to be more precise, in order to reduce the investments and costs. The company is planning to migrate the games services it operates to the Ovi app portal, as a part of this move.
Nokia’s mobile games will be available through the Ovi Store and all the existing channels and the Finns hope that this will attract game developers, who would like to cooperate with the manufacturer. Till now, 3000 jobs were cut by Nokia across its business and the company’s representatives also claim that these cuts will affect the internal IT unit and other similar sections.
