  • We’ve just found out that Google Search has reached the next step in its evolution, being available on Nokia S60 phones and understanding Mandarin Chinese. The new version of the Google Mobile App is demoed on the video below and you have to know that the software places a shortcut to Google search on the Nokia handset’s home screen:

Search can be performed by voice or by typing and the variety of searches is pretty impressive. Location will also matter when delivering results and we have to mention that the Google Mobile App will show the results in the application, so there’s no need for a web browser to perform a search.

Till now, voice search was only available in English, but this new version of the software also supports Mandarin Chinese. This feature will also be added on the Android platform and the iPhone and if you want to give it a go, visit m.google.com from your S60 phone’s browser.
