  • Today’s a great day for Nokia, since the company has just revealed its fresh new rugged phone, Nokia 3720 classic. This resilient device comes with IP-54 certification and entry level features, allowing it to rival the likes of Samsung B2100 Xplorer.

Nokia 3720 classic is dust, splash and shock resistant and it comes with a body made of stainless steel elements, a rough textured surface and sealed materials. The specs of this entry level rugged phone are quite decent: a 2MP camera with LED flash, also usable as a flashlight, a 2.2 inch QVGA TFT display, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 2.5mm audio jack.

There’s also a microSD card slot on board, a microUSB connection and the S40 platform to handle the software side. Nokia 3720 classic is bundled with a 1GB card and you should remember that it doesn’t support 3G, relying on tri band GPRS/EDGE instead. Expect the phone to hit European shelves before this summer ends, for about 125 EUR (before taxes).
