  • Nokia has made available the long-awaited 5800 XpressMusic handset in the US a couple of days ago, after turning it into a hit in Europe. The first touchscreen Nokia music phone packs 8GB of internal memory, a graphic equalizer, support for all music formats and a 3.5mm jack.

There’s also a 3.2 inches widescreen display on board and a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and video recording support.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is sold for $399, before taxes and subsidies in the United States and you’ll find it in Nokia Flagship stores in New York, Chicago, but also on nokiausa.com and via retailers and e-tailers. There’s also a limited time offer that bundles the phone with a $50 voucher for Amazon Video on Demand plus one month of free turn-by-turn voice guided navigation through Ovi Maps.

Very sleek indeed. But this was pulled out of the stores in the US. Because after several hours of release, there has been so many problems encountered with it. That's why the selling of this unit has been stopped for a while.
