Nokia E-Cu Concept Phone Doesn’t Need a Charger! Turns Heat Into Electrical Energy

  • Patrick Hyland is the creator of a very interesting Nokia concept phone, dubbed E-Cu. This handset doesn’t need a charger, relying instead of heat to charge up its battery. The device incorporates a thermogenerator and it’s incredibly slim, as shown in the images below.

    Even holding the Nokia E-Cu in your pocket can charge the phone, as you produce heat with your every move. As you can see, the handset is adorned with a layer of copper with engraved heatsinks and it sports the usual Nokia numeric pad, plus a display we’d like to be a touchscreen. Let’s hope this design will become a real device.
