Nokia Enters the Laptop Market: Nokia Booklet 3G Announced
Probably the most interesting piece of news we’ve seen this month came today, as Nokia announced its first mini laptop, Nokia Booklet 3G. The device comes with incredible specs, like a battery that last 12 hours (normal use), so, for the right price it could be the best product ever made by the Finns.
As we learn from conversations.nokia.com, Nokia Booklet 3G will be a Windows machine, that runs on top of an Intel Atom chipset (Z530 at 1.6GHZ) and what’s also important is that the CPU doesn’t use a fan, so the mini laptop will run silently. The display of the fresh Nokia product will be a 10.1 inch HD screen and the specs list of this beauty also includes a HDMI port for HD Video out.
All of the device’s cool features are packed within a smart aluminium shell, that’s only 2cm thin and the entire mini laptop will weigh about a kilogram or so. Since its name is Nokia Booklet 3G after all, the laptop supports 3G/HSPA and allows mobile broadband access and fast downloads. WiFi is also on board and the device comes with a hot-swappable SIM card feature.
