Nokia Unveils Ovi SDK Beta and Ovi APIs

  • Yesterday, during the last day of Nokia World 2009, the Finnish giant unveiled the Ovi software development kit, in its Beta version and a couple of new Ovi APIs (Application programming interfaces), SDK included.

    Nokia’s Ovi SDK can be used by software developers in order to create apps for platforms like Symbian or Maemo, or even the web. The SDK relies on basic technologies, like Javascript, CSS or HTML, plus the new APIs include the Ovi Navigation Player API, an important means to adding navigation support to apps.
