  • An IntoMobile editor recently had some fun with a Nokia X6 unit, taking a tour of its software, as shown in the hands on video below. This flagship music device runs Symbian 9.4 S60 5th edition, a pretty decent choice of platform these days. This is the same software running on the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic.

Sadly, there’s nothing new to be uncovered by this vid, if you’re familiar with the latest XpressMusic handsets. The X6 comes with a bunch of home screen themes preloaded on it and the phone has the great advantage of kinetic scrolling, making the browsing experience easier and faster, specially with long lists of items.

Nokia’s handset also uses automated email setup and if you’re looking for flaws, the phone doesn’t support multitouch on its capacitive screen, so the browser will be controlled in the standard way, with one finger. The Facebook app that’s built-in works great and Flash is also a go on this device.
