  • FCC has just approved 3 handsets that are meant to reach T-Mobile USA, all of them featuring support for GSM 850/1900 and WCDMA 1700 connectivity. The trio is made out of Nokia RM-509 (aka Nokia 3710a, also approved for AT&T), Nokia RM-511 and Motorola T56KV1 (Morrison… maybe).

Nokia 3710a/RM-509 is the NA version of Nokia 3710 fold, a mid end clamshell phone with GPS, a 3.2MP camera, a QVGA internal display, S40 UI, Bluetooth and 3G. Moving on to another Nokia clamshell, RM-511 was only tested by the FCC, but we have no info on its specs.

The interesting bit of this FCC approval is surely Moto T56KV1, a first for T-Mobile USA, since it’s the first Motorola handset with 3G and WiFi. This is also a mysterious device, although speculations claim that this could in fact be the Android handset Morrison, simply because it also supports 3G and WiFi connectivity.
