O2 is the first carrier to confirm the handset, with Three and Vodafone also preparing similar debuts. It all started with a customer asking the official G+ account if the Galaxy Nexus was really taking off on the 17th and the reply confirmed it. As far as we know there’s no price yet displayed for the smartphone, but rumors say we’re to expect a 499.99 price with a Pay As You Go option.

There will also be contracts, making the device more affordable and probably offering a pretty big monthly fee. Last I heard, the Galaxy Nexus was also coming to the USA on the 21st, but take that info with the usual grain of salt and hope for Black Friday reductions.

This translates to approximately $735 and this is an unsubsidized price we’re talking about. We’re expecting to go way below, once the contract comes in, with 2 years of commitment and offers for current customers. There’s also the O2 MyHandy payment plan, allowing users to pay 29 euros in advance and then pay for the smartphone in monthly portions over two years.

Expect lots of keyboard love for this unit, to be honest, so let’s get that launch going, will you O2?

Back to the HD7, this WP7 unit is considered the follow-up to the HTC HD2, specially since it was dubbed HTC HD3 for a while, as it was leaked on the web. We’re talking about a 4.3 inch smartphone with HSPA, WiFi, GPS, 5MP cam, 1GHz CPU and 16GB of memory.

I still don’t get why all the WP7 handsets lack microSD card slots, but maybe Microsoft has a secret plan related to complete cloud storage in the future… Anyway, all of you folks in the US know that T-Mobile will also release the HD7 next month.

Moto Droid aka Milestone will arrive on November 9th in Germany, as shown by documents on the O2 Germany site. For now, the info confirms that the phone is meant for business customers, but it’ll be available for regular users, too, don’t worry. As far as pricing is concerned, the handset is listed with a $595 price tag, probably a contract-free cost.

We don’t know yet if Milestone will be exclusive to O2 or not and we’re looking forward for some info regarding the launch of the handset in the rest of the European countries.

All of the contracts coming with HTC HD2 are between 18 and 24 months, while the best offer is the O2 600 Promo, that includes the device with a 24 month £25 per month contract and a £99 price tag.

This offer includes 600 anytime minutes, but you can also go with the £184.99 pricing, with an 18 month contract of £25 per month and a 200 minutes offer.

Palm Pre is even available for free, depending on the plan you’ll choose and we remind you that it features a HVGA touchscreen display and Palm Synergy, a neat system integrating email and communication functions. There’s also a sliding QWERTY keyboard on board, plus support for HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 3 megapixel camera with flash.

8GB of internal memory are also on the specifications list and, as far as we know, Pre is also ready for O2 in the UK, Ireland and Germany, starting October 16.

The hot Palm handset that sold like hot cakes in the US should come with the same specs, including the impressive webOS platform. It would be interesting to know if the second webOS handset, Palm Pixi will also reach Europe this year or not.

Here’s what Pre’s all about, in case you forgot: a 3.1 inch capacitive touchscreen display, 8GB of internal memory, a 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, plus GPS.

Expect the webOS smartphone to be available via O2 directly, in stores or online, plus the carrier’s partners and retailers like Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U. O2 customers will have the option of getting a 2 year contract or an 18 month one at £44.05 or £73.41 per month, thus receiving the Palm Pre for free.

The handset is also available for free to business users with business tariffs of at least £30.91 per month, on 24 or 36 months contracts. O2 will also sell the Palm Touchstone Charging Dock for £44.11.

As far as specs go, you get a 2 megapixel camera, HSDPA connectivity, a microSD card slot, a 240 x 320 pixel QVGA screen, GPS and Bluetooth 2.0. Not the best features money can buy, but the form factor is certainly the main appeal of this device.

Before the info above was leaked we could have bet anything on a Christmas launch of the handset in Europe. In spite of coming this Fall and not this winter, the device is still 5 months late, when compared to the US release date.

Too bad that there’s no price tag associated with this rumour, but we guess it’ll be around the same amount as the iPhone 3GS, unless O2 UK wants to surprise us all and offer Palm Pre for free with a pretty big contract.
