Orange has just announced its very own App Shop, available first on over one million phones in the UK and France and following to millions more in 2010. The service should be available with a single click from the homescreen and provide over 5,000 applications, games, wallpapers and ringtones.

The platform Orange uses is the “one stop shop” kind and it also includes services like Orange TV, Orange Maps and Games. Third party developers and content providers will ensure that premium content is delivered via the carrier’s services. You should also know that everything you purchase and download will be acquired via an Orange mobile bill, so there’s no need for personal credit cards and a registration process.

Orange App Shop is available right now, as an over the air option for over one million customers in France and the UK. In January Orange devices like Nokia 6700, Sony Ericsson Yari U100i and Sony Ericsson W995 will arrive on the market with the App Shop preloaded.

Other brands of handsets will follow soon and the service will expand to countries like Spain, Romania, Portugal, Spain, Austria and more in 2010.
