Best Buy Sells Palm Pre for $99, With a 2 Year Contract? Oh no, They Didn’t!
July 27th, 2009 | by ThryStan |
Best Buy must be starting to feel the heat, not of its competition, but the genuine heat of the July sun, since they’ve just made a little error, by pricing Palm Pre at $99, with a 2 year contract. The price is back to $199 and one could only have dreamt about that reduction for a few hours.
This price drop would have made the Pre once again a worthy iPhone 3G competitor and would have probably answered AT&T’s move (the carrier is offering refurbished 8GB iPhones for $49).
We’re looking forward to the time when this offer becomes real and not a mere mistake of the retailer, giving us hope in times of… depression. Did anyone get to purchase the cheap Pre while it was “cheap”.
