  • Palm is following Apple and Google’s lead (and soon BlackBerry’s), by launching an application store backed by PocketGear. This new service surely beats the similar Handango and you might want to know that 1500 developers will join in this initiative.

There’s also a catch: developers only get 50% from the sales of their software, but that’s the usual procedure with Windows Mobile software. The advantage is that an app can even cost about $25 and the developer should be happy with half of that, while in the case of the Apple software, the prices are very low and devs don’t earn much.

In other words, let the downloads begin… from here.
