Samsung Galaxy Appeal Unveiled by AT&T: Fresh QWERTY Slider is Here

AT&T just announced a new handset for the prepaid range: Samsung Galaxy Appeal, the slider you can see pictured below. This device will be available in Walmart stores first starting next month, with a price tag of $150. Other AT&T GoPhone retail locations will follow in July.

The specs of the handset include a 800 MHz ARM Cortex A5 processor (Qualcomm MSM7225A chipset), 512MB of RAM and 1.8GB of built in memory. Obviously there’s a microSD card slot in here too, plus a 3.2 inch HVGA display and a 3 megapixel camera. Powering this newcomer is a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery and the OS here is Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a touch of TouchWiz…

Considering the size of the screen and its specs, I’d say that the price is just about right, unless you consider that for the same money you can get two Android 4.0 tablets in China with the exact same processors as this phone. At least the keyboard looks comfortable…
