Samsung GT-i8350 “Omnia W” Gives Us Mango in October?
This week has been about many Mango OS devices leaking out, either made by HTC or even Nokia. Now, a Samsung-related leak details a new model, supposedly called the GT-i8350 or the Omnia W. This Windows Phone unit was recently certified by the Bluetooth authorities and it might be a follow-up to the Omnia 7.
Even some specs managed to leak out, including a supposed 1GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera and a 3.7 inch WVGA display. Such hardware places the device at the mid-end of the food chain, competing with the latest affordable Android handsets. Bluetooth and GPS complete the specs list of the supposed Mango OS handset.
We certainly hope we’ll see more from Samsung than this smartphone, but they might be holding the goods (quad core CPU, HD display) for their following Nexus phone, that we’ve heard they’re working on. Honestly, I wouldn’t trade an Omnia 7 for an Omnia W…
