Samsung Omnia Takes Australia by Storm

Omnia has made it to Australia, as you can see if you’re strolling through the country and check out local bus stops, billboards and newspapers. The hot Samsung device will be available on Optus (local carrier) for free with a $49 cap plan, but also on Vodafone, Virgin Mobile or 3 with much the same prices and offers.

Let us remind you that this is a fierce iPhone rival, sporting a TFT touchscreen, handwriting recognition, GSM quad-band and UMTS support, a 5 megapixels camera with auto focus and image stabilizer and an advanced multimedia player. Omnia runs Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 and uses a full HTML browser to get online.
