  • The folks of GSM Arena have had the opportunity of previewing the fresh Samsung B7610 OmniaPRO handset, a full QWERTY side slider with hot specs and great performance. This is quite a “fat” device, with its 16.2mm waist line, but it’s the price you’ve got to pay for high end specs.

There’s a 3.5 inch AMOLED touchscreen with a WVGA resolution at the front, ready to make you fall in love with OmniaPRO, specially due to its crisp imaging. Also, the display is quite sensitive for a resistive screen, although it can’t compare to the likes of Samsung S8000 Jet or Samsung M8910 Pixon12.

The screen’s main issue is its sunlight legibility, making it difficult to use on a bright sunny day. Moving on, we discover a resilient and firm sliding mechanism, used by the QWERTY keyboard and assisted by a spring. Since we’ve mentioned the keyboard, we must say that it comes with large buttons, with great feedback, providing a speedy typing experience.

On the back side of Samsung B7610 OmniaPRO there’s a 5 megapixel camera, with dual LED Flash and support for VGA video recording at 30 fps. More info in the full preview, available right here.
