  • The Phonedog people spent some quality time with the AT&T version of Samsung Mythic and found it to be a device with a nice design and a colourful touchscreen. Its flaws are spotty reception (sometimes), a not so good battery life and the fact that its design is pretty average.

You can consider this just another touchscreen feature phone from Samsung and AT&T, but Mythic has a couple of extras that other similar models don’t. It uses the TouchWiz 2.0 UI, complete with tabs and rearrangeable menus, nice customization options, a widget bar and a 3.3 inch resistive touchscreen display.

Mythic’s virtual keyboard can be used both in landscape and portrait mode, behaving pretty well in the process, but the overall experience of the device tends to be a bit laggy, specially when switching between menus. There’s also a 3.2 megapixel camera in the mix, with pretty good image quality, a self timer, autofocus, five color effects, six shooting modes, macro focus and many more options.

Last, we learn that talk time is about 3 hours, call quality is decent and data speeds are pretty decent. Full review coming soon!

I just picked up my Samsung Mythic last week and I am quite eager to learn a thing or two.. Last phone that I modded was the Razr and that has bee quite some time ago. I'm enjoying the Samsung Mythic thus far and will probably start making wallpapers and ringtones in the near future. You can check out my wallpapers at http://www.Samsung-Mythic.com take care.
