Samsung Omnia II Gets Pictured, Verizon Version Sports Different D-Pad

September 22nd, 2009 | by Yorga |

The device you can see below is in fact Samsung Omnia II, but don’t be surprised by the fact that it doesn’t feature a cubic d-pad, since this is the version meant to hit Verizon. The Windows Mobile smartphone adopted a shield design for its directional pad, a trait similar to the B900 South Korean model.

Omnia II runs WM 6.1 with custom TouchWiz 2.0 UI with 3D effects and it sports an 800 MHz CPU, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, geotagging, image stabilization, face/smile detection and video recording. There’s also a GPS on board, plus an accelerometer, 8/16GB of storage space and a 1500 mAh battery.
