  • Omnia has made it to Australia, as you can see if you’re strolling through the country and check out local bus stops, billboards and newspapers. The hot Samsung device will be available on Optus (local carrier) for free with a $49 cap plan, but also on Vodafone, Virgin Mobile or 3 with much the same prices and offers.

Let us remind you that this is a fierce iPhone rival, sporting a TFT touchscreen, handwriting recognition, GSM quad-band and UMTS support, a 5 megapixels camera with auto focus and image stabilizer and an advanced multimedia player. Omnia runs Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 and uses a full HTML browser to get online.

I think Samsung is really planning to raise the bar of sophisticated touch screen Pocket PC with Samsung I8000 Omnia 2. When the other phones in the similar category comes with some three inch screens, 3.15 mega pixel camera, QWERTY keyboard sliders, Wi-Fi, GPS, and HSDPA features; take a look at what Samsung I8000 Omnia 2 is offering. Great ..
