Samsung Prepares Super AMOLED Phone for MWC 2010, Bada OS Handset Too

February 9th, 2010 | by ThryStan |

Last we heard, Samsung was gearing up to show the world its first Bada OS handset at MWC 2010, but now it seems they’ve got more than that coming. SamsungHub reports that the company is also preparing its very first Super AMOLED touchscreen handset, also to be showcased in Barcelona next week.

The screen is possibly a WVGA one and we know that it integrates a touch sensor, provides better sunlight visibility and it’s able to show images that are 5 times more vivid than those on AMOLED screens. Speculations claim that the Bada OS and the Super AMOLED phone might be the one and the same, but I guess we’ll have to find out for ourselves next week.

No images of the upcoming devices have been revealed, although GSMArena managed to score a pic (shown above) showing a mystery handset next to an iPhone. The phone is presumably the one with the Super AMOLED display, in maximum brightness.
