Hungary Launches Mobile TV Service

  • Antenna Hungaria, a transmission company from Hungary has just launched a DVB-H Mobile TV service, offering the owners of compatible handsets to receive free to air channels like Duna TV and Duna II Autonomia, at least in Budapest.

    Nokia N96 is the favourite device to provide the viewing experience.

    There have been trials for this service since 2006 and this launch follows that of the DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) from a few weeks ago. Antenna Hungaria announced that it plans to offer up to 20 channels, some of them for a fee.
