More Mobile Messaging for Less Economic Growth

November 12th, 2008 | by Mira |

A recent report from ABI Research shows that mobile messaging growth will continue, despite the fact that global economy is slowing down. Expectations are for messaging revenues to rise from USD 150 billion in 2008 to more than USD 212 billion at a world scale by 2013.

After all, the difficult economic times could just as well encourage people to start messaging rather to use their mobiles for placing calls. Also, operators and handset producers are finding ways to improve the messaging experience for their customers.
