MWC 2010: Sony Ericsson Introduces Vivaz pro QWERTY Smartphone With Touchscreen

  • If you’re fond of messaging, you require a decent camera and a QWERTY keyboard-touchscreen combo, Sony Ericsson have got a cool new product for you: the SE Vivaz pro. This device was just announced and it’ll be showcased at MWC 2010, that debuted in Barcelona today.

    Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro comes with a full slide-out keyboard, that provides a fast typing experience, Twitter, Facebook, a 3.2 inch 16:9 wide touchscreen display and the ability to capture HD video and immediately upload it to YouTube via WiFi. The handset will reach the market in Q2 in black and white for a yet unknown price.

    Its camera is a 5.1 megapixel unit, complete with 4x digital zoom, continuous auto focus when shooting video, geotagging, image stabiliser, smile detection and touch capture. Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro also features Bluetooth stereo A2DP, PlayNow, TrackID, a WebKit browser, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Symbian OS, 3D games, FM radio, A-GPS, Google Maps and TV out.

    There’s also a 720 MHz CPU under the hood, a microSD card slot, 75MB of internal memory and a battery that provides 12 hours 30 minutes of GSM/GPRS talk time. Here’s a promo video for the device:
