  • As probably another sign that Windows Mobile 7 is approaching its official presentation, today we’ve found out info about the first Windows Mobile 6.5.3 confirmed device. We’re talking about Sony Ericsson Aspen, an eco-friendly smartphone that’s part of the GreenHeart series.

SE Aspen was previously leaked as the Faith model and this is, as you can see, a Windows Mobile candybar with a front QWERTY keyboard and 2.4 inch QVGA touchscreen display. Expect the phone to hit the market in Q2 2010, for a yet unknown price, but sporting a lot of homescreen personalization options.

The smartphone supports GSM quad band connectivity, UMTS dual band and it comes with a battery able to function for 10 hours in talk mode, or 450 hours in standby mode. Sony Ericsson’s display is a TFT unit, with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution and the specs list of the smartphone also includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot and 100MB of internal memory.

Here’s a video presentation of the new eco-friendly handset:
