Sony Ericsson Satio Debuts in the UK; 12 MP Cameraphone Hits Major carriers
October 13th, 2009 | by ThryStan |
Sony Ericsson Satio has finally landed in the UK and the cameraphone formerly known as Idou will bring its 12 megapixel hotness to carriers like Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile and O2.
Vodafone is the only carrier offering the phone right now, while Orange mentions it as “coming soon” on the official site. What’s the fuss all about? Well, unless you count Samsung Pixon12, this should be the first 12 megapixel cameraphone to go live, packing Xenon and LED flash, GPS and a widescreen touch display.
The handset is based on Symbian S60 5th edition OS and you might be interested in knowing that Vodafone offers the phone for free, with a £35 or £40 per month contract, lasting for 24 months. £515 is the cameraphone’s price, in the SIM-free version.
