Sony Expected to Debut Xperia C Handset With Mediatek Quad Core CPU at 1.2 GHz
Sony is expected to announce a new Xperia model today, the Xperia C unit during a special event in Asia. These days the Mobile Asia Expo is going down in Shanghai and Sony already announced the Xperia Z Ultra, so they’re on a roll.
Rumors claim that we should also expect to see a handset with big diagonal, but features that are usually associated to a cheaper unit. The Xperia C is supposed to feature a 5 inch qHD display, a quad core MediaTek processor, probably the MT6589 CPU. There’s also 4 GB of storage and 1 GB of RAM on board, as well as a microSD card slot.
The newcomer should include an 8 megapixel Exmor R camera and it will measure 8.8 mm in waistline. Its OS of choice is Android 4.2.2 and the Xperia C will probably be launched in China, in a dual SIM version.
