Deutsche Telekom, About to Reveal Its New Plans for Eastern Europe
The Deutsche Telekom management has set up a meeting with the press from Romania, in order to reveal the company’s intentions regarding local development of Romtelecom and Cosmote (Romanian carriers).
The meeting will take place in Bonn, Germany, this month and you might be interested to know that Deutsche Telekom took over 25% of Greek group OTE’s stocks in 2008.
OTE has a strong presence in South-Eastern Europe, providing fixed phone calling, mobile and Internet services. The meeting between the Romanian press and the German giant’s officials comes a week after Deutsche Telekom announced that they have reorganized their operational structure.
This was done in order to better coordinate and integrate its East European branches, specially the carriers from OTE’s portofolio. Guido Kerkhoff will be controlling the South-East European operations of the company and the 41 year old man is also part of the board now.
