Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and AIR 2.0 Available as Betas, With Multitouch

Adobe has just announced that it’ll be releasing two important products, Flash Player 10.1 and AIR 2.0, available as betas for Windows, Mac and Linux. This info comes a week after Adobe announced 700 layoffs, 9% of global work force. You can get Flash Player over here and the new AIR from here and see them in action below:

Adobe AIR 2 and Flash Player 10.1 come with multitouch and gesture support, local microphone access, a global error handler and more feats, previewed at the recent Adobe MAX 2009 event. The new Flash Player supports hardware decoding of H.264 video and you should also expect this software to reach Palm’s webOS this year, with Android to follow in 2010.

AIR 2.0 features native process API, mass storage device detection, open document API, improved socket support and a speedier WebKit.
