EU Wants You to Listen to Music Less Louder
EU is considering a change in the legislation regarding media players, specially when it comes to their output, that should have a max level of 85dB, starting 2010. This, provided that the officials reach such a decision, but we guess that they’ll probably stop at a value of around 100 dB.
Even if this decision is approved, we can bet that you’ll soon see tiny amps on the market, used to bring the volume level back up, either by being attached to the headphones or portable music players. After all, it’s the user’s business if he wants to listen to music out loud and even go deaf, for that matter.
A more decent approach would be educating people regarding the risks of a too loud audio experience, instead of taking away the possibility of listening to loud music. After all, that’s what most teens do nowadays aside to texting, right?
