Hitachi Improves LCDs; Develops Mini LCDs
Hitachi wants to enhance the features of LCD displays and now they’re working on new mini LCD screens, that can offer an incredible 960 x 540 pixels resolution, surpassing any other display on the market right now.
As a short comparison, the iPhone 3G’s display only supports a maximum resolution of 480 x 320, so Hitachi’s achievement is great. Using this new technology, features like mobile Internet and mobile TV will be enhanced and people will enjoy going mobile with such neat hardware progress.
We’ve got info that these high-res mini LCD displays will be available on the Japanese market next year, reaching the rest of the world afterwards.
