Verizon Launches Samsung Rogue U960 and Intensity U450

Verizon has just launched two new Samsung handsets, Rogue U960 and Intensity U450, the first being a replacement for the Glyde model and packing a resistive screen. Rogue is a premiere, through the fact that it’s the first Verizon phone to use an AMOLED display, although we’re curious to see if it matches the quality of the one present on Samsung Omnia II.

Samsung Rogue U960 packs a 3 megapixel autofocus camera with LED Flash, a sliding QWERTY keyboard with 4 rows of buttons and a microSDHC memory card slot (16GB cards max). The device supports Vcast Music/Video and VZ Navigator, plus it’ll be priced at $99.99, bundled with a 2 year contract, after a $100 rebate.

Rogue also goes for $169.99 after rebate with a 1 year contract and $419.99 outright. Moving on to Samsung Intensity, this is a handset that packs a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, but it doesn’t come with a touchscreen display. Instead it uses a TFT screen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSDHC card slot (16GB) and supports VCast Music and VZ Navigator.

No EVDO support on board, so connectivity it quite limited… Intensity can be yours for free after a $79.99 rebate on a 2 year contract (Flamingo Red model), while the Grey version costs $29.99, after a $50 rebate and with a 2 year contract. The device will cost $99.99 with a 1 year contract and $199.99 in full.
