  • FCC has just approved another ZTE phone, the X990, just as the MTV-branded ZTE F870E model was unveiled days ago. ZTE X990 is a yet unannounced handset, with the shape of a BlackBerry and a QWERTY keyboard that you’d usually find on a Palm Treo or Centro.

The device looks pretty hot and we learn that it packs a landscape display, Bluetooth, an MP3 player, FM radio, a web browser complete with dedicated key, a microSD card slot, a 2 megapixel camera and a 3.5mm audio jack.

ZTE X990 only supports GSM/GPRS connectivity, so it’s most likely headed to China, with an affordable price tag, maybe via Vodafone (since the carrier is an important ZTE partner).
