Philips is more famous for its long lasting handset batteries, than some touchscreen-based smartphones, but here they are, trying to get a slice of the Android pie, thanks to the V808 model.

Philips V808 is the company’s first Android phone and it packs a 3.2 megapixel camera, a touchscreen display (320 x 480 pixels) plus some widget functionality that might be part of the make’s UI or just standard Android feats.

This certainly looks like a low end Android device, but we wouldn’t mind if it would be, specially because this is a segment that Google and its partners did not cover yet.
