The Razer Phone has just become official, as the ideal gaming phone, from a company that sure knows what it’s doing in this field. The device has 8 GB of RAM and pretty powerful specs, plus it’s not exactly bad looking. Let’s check it out!
One of the core features here is the screen, an IGZO IPS LCD 5.7 inch unit with Wide Color Gamut and 120 Hz refresh rate. The smoothness provided by the screen should be on par with the one of the iPad Pro 10.5, easily. The refresh rate can be tweaked from the settings, by the way. What this means, among others is that we’ll get lag-free gaming, which on mobile is pure gold.
Razer also offers a special technology called UltraMotion, which will sync the GPU with the screen and there’s also a promise that the battery life won’t be hit by this feature. If you’re wondering what makes this device tick, the specs are below:
- Display: 5.7 inch IGZO LCD
- CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
- RAM: 8 GB
- Storage: 64 GB, microSD
- Battery: 4000 mAh
- Camera: Back – 12 MP/ 13 MP, dual tone LED flash; Front – 8 MP, F/2.0
- OS: Android 7.1.1
The Razer Phone comes with an full aluminum unibody chassis and brings 24 bit DAC, as well as two front facing speakers. They’re stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, each with an amp of its own. No audio jack here, but there’s an USB Type-C to 3.5 mm adapter in the box. The fingerprint scanner is included in the side Power button and this Razer Phone ships with a special Nova Launcher Prime Razer Edition on top of Android.
The video playback time is rated at 63.5 hours and the machine measures 8 mm in thickness, plus weighs 197 grams. This gaming device becomes available on November 17th, with a $699 price tag.
