It’s no coincidence we’ve seen Oppo and Vivo associated to big soccer teams, since these companies under the wing of the firm BBK are growing exponentially. In fact, fueled by its innovative tech, like VOOC or the new stabilization, Oppo may even enter the top 3 smartphone makers soon.

Experts within the supply chain are claiming that Oppo may challenge Huawei’s position in 2017 for top smartphone vendor. We’re talking about the number one position in China’s smartphone market, but obviously the global one will also be affected. Oppo was already able to overtake Huawei to become number one smartphone vendor in China in Q3 2016, with a handset shipment bump of 106.1% on year, to 20.1 million units.

Huawei actually ended up third, since Vivo, the sister brand of Oppo was second, with a crazy 101% growth to 19.2 million units. this is just the beginning, as Oppo is strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa, trying to reach a total of 120 million, or even 130 million smartphones shipped in 2017.
