Bang & Olufsen is introducing a new Sienna Brown edition of its Beosound A9 floor-standing speaker, pairing the finish with a Woolscape Mineral Red front cover developed with textile specialist Kvadrat. The configuration is due to arrive on September 1, 2026, through selected Bang & Olufsen stores and the company’s online shop.

The update is a materials-focused release rather than a new hardware version. Sienna Brown is applied to the speaker body and its brushed aluminum legs, while the Woolscape Mineral Red textile forms the front surface. Bang & Olufsen has not announced changes to the A9’s audio components.

Woolscape was developed by Kvadrat Febrik with Swedish design duo Front, using photographs and 3D scans of textures found in Swedish landscapes as its starting point. Those references were translated into a double-knit textile; the Mineral Red version combines four complementary tones.

For a speaker grille, the textile’s construction and color can affect how sound passes through its surface. Bang & Olufsen says it worked with Kvadrat to test and tune Woolscape for the Beosound A9’s acoustic requirements, and that the cover does not affect sound performance. The company has not provided measurements to independently assess that claim, however, and is not presenting the new cover as an audio upgrade.

The new finish continues Bang & Olufsen’s emphasis on customization and material combinations, also seen in its Atelier program and the Beosound A5. Additional Woolscape covers in Black Anthracite, Gold Tone and Natural Aluminium will be sold separately for existing Beosound A9 owners.

Bang & Olufsen has not disclosed pricing for the Sienna Brown Beosound A9 with the Woolscape Mineral Red cover, nor has it detailed which markets will receive the configuration at launch.
