Apple will become the first brand inducted into the Creative Hall of Fame, with The One Club for Creativity creating a Brand Hall of Fame category for the company. The recognition marks Apple’s 50th anniversary and covers its sustained work across advertising, branding, product design, packaging and retail rather than a single device or campaign.
The Creative Hall of Fame has honored individuals in advertising and design since 1961. Steve Jobs was inducted posthumously in 2012, while Apple is now the first company to receive recognition through the new brand-focused category.
Apple’s advertising record spans the Ridley Scott-directed “1984” Super Bowl commercial for the Macintosh, the “Think Different” campaign, iPod ads built around white earbuds and colorful silhouettes, and the “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” series. In the iPhone era, “Shot on iPhone” shifted the spotlight to user-created photos and video, turning the product itself into the center of a long-running global campaign.
The One Club also cited more recent work including “Privacy, that’s iPhone,” the accessibility films “I Am the Greatest” and “I’m Not Remarkable,” holiday campaigns, and “Welcome Home” for HomePod. Apple and TBWA\Media Arts Lab received the Penta Pencil in 2026, an award for a brand-agency partnership that has maintained a high creative standard over multiple years.
Apple is due to receive the honor at the Creative Hall of Fame gala in New York on September 16, 2026. The One Club says it will periodically review its archive, which spans more than a century, to identify other brands with enduring contributions to advertising and design.
