Apple has listed an iPad mini Smart Folio carrying the model number A3632 on Apple’s regulatory information site. The identifier does not match Smart Folio accessories known for current or previous iPad mini models, raising the possibility that it is intended for a future tablet.
The entry appears to have been added recently and was shown alongside records for the iPhone 18 Pro series, which Apple introduced in September. It is not confirmation of an iPad mini 8, but an accessory appearing ahead of a device launch would fit reports that Apple is preparing a new compact iPad.
- The A3632 Smart Folio may indicate revised dimensions or construction for the next iPad mini, potentially affecting compatibility with existing cases.
- Previous reports have pointed to an OLED display as a major upgrade for the next iPad mini.
- Improved water resistance has also been rumored, although technical details have not emerged.
The next iPad mini could reportedly arrive alongside Apple’s first MacBook Pro with a touchscreen OLED display. Apple has yet to announce a launch event or confirm the A3632 accessory, leaving the tablet’s specifications, timing and availability unresolved.
