ASUS has refreshed the Vivobook 15 X1504 with Intel Wildcat Lake processors. Notebookcheck first spotted the update through Canadian listings. The X1504MA range includes configurations based on the Core 7 350 and Core 5 320.
In Canada, the Core 7 350 version with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is listed at CAD 1,399.99, while the 16GB model reaches CAD 1,499.99. The Core 7 350 model is listed from CAD 1,399.99 with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, rising to CAD 1,499.99 for 16GB of memory. Pricing and availability in other markets have yet to be detailed.
A 2026 processor meets an aging display
The Core 7 350 is a six-core, six-thread Wildcat Lake chip with boost speeds of up to 4.8GHz and an NPU rated at up to 17 TOPS. Notebookcheck found it somewhat faster and more efficient than the older Core 7 150U. ASUS also offers Core 5 320, Core 5 315 and Core 3 304 options in the family. The NPU can accelerate local AI workloads, but it does not make this a Copilot+ PC: Microsoft requires at least 40 TOPS for that classification.
Elsewhere, the machine is notably conservative. It has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display at 60Hz, rated for 250 nits and 45% NTSC coverage. DDR5 memory supports up to 32GB but runs in single-channel mode, while storage uses PCIe 4.0 SSDs. By comparison, the higher-end Vivobook S 15 already moves to OLED and a more ambitious AI-focused platform.
Connectivity is more practical: USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 with Power Delivery, two USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-A 2.0 port, HDMI 1.4 and a headphone jack. The keyboard includes a number pad and Copilot key, while the 720p webcam has a physical privacy shutter. A 42Wh battery, 1.7kg weight and 17.9mm chassis reinforce its position as a conventional office or student laptop rather than a direct ultrabook rival. ASUS Zenbook S 14.
The Vivobook 15 refresh is interesting precisely because ASUS has not tried to reinvent the model: the chassis, display and battery remain largely unchanged, while the processor platform receives the upgrade. Buyers should view it as a mainstream productivity laptop with newer silicon, rather than a showcase for premium displays, long battery life or advanced on-device AI.
