A BlackBerry-style handset has debuted in Indonesia, with Android on board and a physical QWERTY keyboard that takes us a few years back. Somehow, this model manages to stay on the ultra low end side of thing sand runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

On paper the device shouldn’t interest us, but the design of the AXIOO PICOphone 2 remains pretty interesting. It comes with a colourful polycarbonate case, in a variety of colors and the keyboard is also colourful. There’s a MediaTek MT6575M processor, a single core 1.4 GHz and a 2.6 inch LCD display with a 480 x 320 pixel resolution.

These specs make us feel like back in 2012 or so and we’ve got a 2 MP main camera and a 0.3 MP front shooter. Dual SIM support and Bluetooth 4.0 are on board, together with WiFi and 256 MB of RAM, while the battery has a capacity of 1200 mAh. The price tag is $70, which frankly speaking is too high for this unit… The phone is made in Indonesia.
