Gionee S6 finally debuted officially today, after a period of teasing and leaks. This is not exactly supposed to be a Gionee flagship, but it comes with a very good looking body that makes me think of a Galaxy A model and an iPhone.

Measuring just 6.9 mm in thickness, the handset packs an USB Type C port and a 5.5 inch AMOLED screen. The product isn’t part of the Elife series, as you can well see. It manages to reach 4 mm at its thinnest point and it’s made mostly of metal. The specs are rather midrange here, including the 720p screen resolution.

There’s also a 1.3 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor on board, as well as 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a main 13 megapixel camera, with LED flash. Upfront there’s a 5 MP selfie shooter and this device offers a hybrid dual SIM setup (1 microSIM and nanoSIM or 1 micro SIM and microSD).

Finally, we get a 3150 mAh battery and you should know that the smartphone comes in both gold and platinum and it will be for sale in China on November 22n at $266.58.
