HONOR has launched the Watch 6 Pro in China, positioning it as its most advanced smartwatch with a two-layer Tandem OLED display and expanded health-monitoring capabilities. The device can issue strong vibration alerts for what HONOR classifies as a very high cardiac-arrest risk, place calls to emergency contacts in sequence, and show instructions for using an AED.
The company’s IntelliSense sensor system uses multiple wavelengths and powers Blood Pressure 2.0, a feature designed to track blood-pressure changes and correlate them with activity, sleep schedules, and emotional state. The watch can also receive data from certain continuous glucose monitoring, or CGM, systems. HONOR has not detailed which CGM systems are supported.
HONOR offers the Watch 6 Pro in five versions, with steel finishes and combinations incorporating nanocrystalline ceramic. Its round 1.5-inch display uses a dual-layer OLED architecture that HONOR says is a first for a wearable, reaching a claimed peak brightness of 5,500 nits. The interface adds new translucent visual effects within MagicOS.
Battery-life estimates vary substantially by usage mode:
- Up to 18 days under HONOR’s maximum endurance rating
- About 10 days in typical use
- Up to 7 days with the always-on display enabled
- Up to 4 days with full health monitoring active
The Watch 6 Pro can handle notifications from an HONOR phone and an iPhone simultaneously. For positioning, it uses a dual-band system with three antennas and algorithms that account for the wearer’s wrist position.
The Watch 6 Pro is currently on sale in China. HONOR has not confirmed whether the model will receive a wider international release.
