After a few leaks of the supposed HTC One M8 Ace, here we are with the HTC One M8 Prime, leaked today via @evleaks. The device was expected to be an upgrade for the HTC one M8, including a quad HD display, but now it’s rumored that the case texture will change too.
This phone is expected to be a Quad HD 5.5 inch smartphone and it is rumored to adopt a ceramic case, an approach we haven’t seen in a while from a handset maker. The ceramic material will offer better durability and it will be cheaper to manufacture. HTC One M8 Prime could hit the market in September and while we are waiting for a Snapdragon 805 CPU, it may end up with a Snapdragon 801, like the M8.
We’ll also get more RAM, 3 GB, an Adreno 330 GPU and possibly an improved battery and camera. I see that the dual flash is still here, as is the duo camera and we’ve got more discrete front side speakers, probably with BoomSound tech. What’s the deal with that red camera ring though?
